Female Empowerment – The Real
Growth of the Nation!
Gone are the days, women are arrested inside their homes, today
the world is entirely changing. Women are now given equal importance and their
thoughts and ambitions are respected. In this array, India is getting
strengthened by women empowerment in every field, no matter it is agriculture,
politics, science, social welfare, teaching or any other industry. They are
also proving their capabilities in successfully running large businesses
worldwide. Female empowerment has
become an important for growth of a nation.
With the empowerment, independence and importance of women, our
nation now has many Indian womenachievers, who are popular world-wide. These great Indian women are also the role model and inspiration to the
young girls, who are from a poor family background and remote regions of India
to achieve in their life.
Here we see some of the popular women and achievers in India, as
a result of women empowerment;
Iron Chanu Sharmila:
She is called the Iron Lady of Manipur, as she holds the record
for the longest hunger strike. She is an activist who has been sitting for over
a decade striking and demanding repeal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act.
Poolan Devi
She was a bandit and later became a politician. She was also
known as Bandit Queen. She was raped by one of the bandits who fought for the
leadership and she later took the banditry in her own hands. She then became
the leader of a group.
Chanda Kochhar:
Kochhar
is the CEO of ICICI Bank. She is the most powerful women in the Asia-pacific
region. She was also honored with Padma Bhushan Award in the year 2010 in the
banking sector.
Sapper Shanti Tigga
She is the great Indian woman who become and the Jawan in the
Indian Army. She is also a mother of two children. She joined 969 Railway
Engineer Regiment of Territorial Army in 2011. Asha Roy
She is the daughter of a vegetable seller, who is now the fasted
Indian on the tract. She has set a record at National Open Athletics
Championship in 2011 in Kolkata.
In addition to the above-said women achievers in India as the
result of women empowerment, there are also many other great inspiring names to
be specified like, Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairperson of the Sate Bank of
India; Kalpana Chawla, the first Indian women to go to space in 2003; Durga Shakti Nagpal, IAS Officer in UP cadre,
Nagpal and many others. There are also many women leaders in India like Indira Ghandi, who is a great
inspiration for women to prove their skills in Politics.
